Though Apple doesn’t make the original MacBook’s anymore; we still repair them here at RepairLabs because we still love them. They’re not nearly as sleek as the new MacBook’s with their aluminum unibodies and Chiclet keyboards, but we still really like the plastic while little machines.
If you thought you were out of luck because you don’t see people like iCracked fixing these older MacBook’s, you would be wrong. Not only is RepairLabs still repairing them, but we actually have Mac Certified Technicians who have been working in the field long enough to have plenty of experience working on these beasts.
MacBook Glass Replacement – Sometimes you just cannot control your anger, and when that happens you may do something you’ll regret later, like, say, punching your MacBook. Joking aside, cracked glass on your MacBook can be serious, so please send it in to get it fixed.
It may look harmless but the truth is that the broken glass can fragment and cause damage to your LCD which costs a lot more to replace.
MacBook Logic Board Replacement – This is bad luck; if your logic board goes out your MacBook is 100% useless until you replace it. Though it would be cheaper at this point in time to just get a new MacBook, we understand that you may want to just fix the one you have, so if that’s the case, we’ll replace your logic board for you.
MacBook Fan Repair – This is one of those sneaky dangerous problems. If you don’t realize that your fan is not spinning or is spinning at a lowered speed, it can cause issues that you could blame on other parts. Make sure that you first try to blow the fan out, and if that doesn’t work send it in, our Mac Certified Technicians will find out what’s wrong with it and either fix it or replace it if necessary.
Sometimes you cannot discern whether your issues are hardware related or due to malfunctioning software. If you have a suspicion that the issue may be software related, feel free to call us during business hours. One of our Mac Certified Technicians will work with you to help troubleshoot the issues and, hopefully, fix them.
If you do need to send your MacBook in for repair, please back up any important data first. While RepairLabs will never wipe your data without your consent, if we do have to and you haven’t backed up your data but have agreed to let us wipe it, we cannot guarantee we have backed up every important file you have. It’s good practice to back it up just to be safe.
Using our one-step intuitive checkout system will get you to your destination, which is of course a fixed MacBook. Follow the checkout and you will take care of all the necessary steps, paying, choosing shipping, extras like shipping insurance and a donation to our Op:HERO program, if you’re interested.
When we receive your MacBook, it will be assigned to the proper Mac Certified Technician to handle your repairs. These repairs will always be handled by the proper person, and they will continue to keep you informed on each step we take to repair your MacBook.
